Technical Artist

Junior & Mid-Level Character Artists

Mechanics DevOps Programmer

We are looking for a Game Mechanics DevOps Programmer to join our Mech DevOps team, a subteam of Game Mechanics, based in Knutsford. Mech DevOps is a small team focused on solving the unique challenges of developing large games at scale. Our games are huge and changing rapidly, with hundreds of code commits and gigabytes of asset changes per day.

We are currently building out an automated game testing system, which will provide early warning of problems in code, data setup or game performance. Our team gets involved in the entire game life cycle, advocating unit, integration and regression testing and providing frameworks, infrastructure and workflow improvements to enable this.

Team members are exposed to a wide variety of technologies: modifying the game code (C++), supporting the build pipeline (python, TeamCity, buildbot), working with the latest consoles (Xbox One, PS4, Switch) through to detailed data reporting over time (html, css, javascript, sql). The right candidate for this job will have a passion for games and an understanding of the important role automated testing and continuous integration can play in raising the quality bar for our awardwinning series of LEGO games.

You will be an experienced and passionate individual who takes your career in programming seriously. You will be able to communicate your ideas well both verbally and in writing. Performance Engineer
