Compliance Lead Tester (Microsoft) - QA

The Compliance team in QA are seeking to recruit a Compliance Lead Tester (Microsoft Specialisation). This is a full time, permanent position and will be based in Emerson Court, Wilmslow.

Previous compliance knowledge will be a requirement, preferably with MS knowledge.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing compliance testing of any assigned software, identifying any compliance infringements or defects when they are found.
  • Build and maintain excellent contacts with the various first party platform holders.
  • Continually stay on top of any new compliance rulings or documentation revisions for each platform, updating any test plans & test cases accordingly.
  • Reporting all compliance infringements and bugs found during test execution into JIRA, adding screenshots/videos when required.
  • Continual risk assessment on any assigned project, escalating any major concerns to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to all project stakeholders (QA Manager, Functional Lead Tester, Producer, Publishing, etc.).
  • Creation and maintenance of compliance test plans and test cases.
  • Accurately track a project’s progress toward complete fulfilment of each platform’s compliance requirements.
  • Training and overseeing any junior compliance testers.
  • Work closely with Senior Testers and Localisation Testers to ensure sufficient coverage on some of the more time consuming compliance tests.
  • Performing confirmation/regression testing of any new code; updating bugs as required (closing as fixed, including additional information, etc.).
  • Work with the Publishing & Development team to ensure external tasks and requests relating to submissions are dealt with.
  • Provide expert technical first party support where required to the development teams.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of compliance testing and authorised names (preferably across multiple platforms).
  • Strong leadership ability, preferably with prior experience of leadership role.
  • Strong level of attention to detail.
  • Natural curiosity and an enthusiasm for finding bugs.

UI Artist - TT Fusion

We are looking for a talented UI Artist to join our TT Fusion team in Wilmslow on a full time, permanent basis.

We are looking for self-motivated applicants, who are responsive to direction and working to a brief. The ability to plan and schedule your time, and the confidence to deliver to a deadline is essential.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating game UI compliant with the game design, both technically and aesthetically.
  • Designing, creating and exporting 2D textures/icons using packages provided.
  • Creating, animating and exporting working interface files for use in game.
  • Where necessary, creating 3D assets using packages provided.
  • Designing with and exporting fonts for use in game, for multiple languages.
  • Where necessary, liaising with environment artists to create bespoke in-game textures, such as shop logos or posters.
  • Occasionally required to be involved in additional company-based commissions, for both internal and external use, e.g. promotional material such as posters or in house T-Shirts.
  • Where necessary, liaising with Publishing to ensuring that any bespoke artwork (such as logos and posters) or in-game fonts have been checked for legal clearance and licencing.
  • Ensuring any texture assets created are future proofed for higher res platforms.
  • Understand that you may be required to simultaneously work on multiple projects on multiple platforms.
  • Understanding that changes and amendments are part of the pipeline.
  • Constructively feedback any concerns of UI design.
  • Work with Art Leads and other Artists to ensure consistency between vision and implementation of interface designs.
  • Contributing original ideas towards all aspects of the UI design.

Programmer - TT Odyssey - Brighton

IT Apprentice - Traveller's Tales

An opportunity has arisen for an IT Apprentice to be responsible for general first line support tasks (call logging, troubleshooting / diagnosis, and resolution or escalation); assembling and maintaining PC’s; creating and maintaining documentation for both the systems support team and end users.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • First line support (logging calls, troubleshooting / diagnosis, and resolution or escalation).
  • PC assembly and imaging.
  • PC maintenance (adding/removing apps, correcting faults, updating drivers/firmware, etc).
  • Setup, update and fault diagnosis of console platforms (e.g. Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Wii-U, PS Vita, 3DS).
  • Transferring licenses between machines as projects change and people move between tasks, ensuring that license documents are kept up to date.
  • General network support and basic troubleshooting (e.g. patching, replacing switches, etc).
  • Creation and maintenance of domain and server login accounts, email accounts, mail distribution lists, and any other related aspects as required.
  • Creating and maintaining all relevant documentation for systems and for consumers of IT support services, for example, to include but not limited to IP address register, equipment register, setup / standard docs, FAQ’s, how-to’s.
  • Auditing of systems for suitability for task, license monitoring, any other related aspects as required.
  • Liaising with other team members to ensure that potential issues are raised and dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Any ad-hoc IT duties that may be required to provide an effective and efficient service.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Effective communication skills (Both verbal & written)

Educational Requirements

  • Minimum 5 GCSE’s Grade C+ (including Maths)
  • Computing related college qualification (if appropriate)
  • A-Levels (Computing, Maths, Business Studies - if appropriate)

Training to be provided:

The Estio Training programme gives young people the opportunity to get hands on experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt.

Learners will receive ten weeks of intensive training. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual assessment, and help and guidance from a dedicated trainer who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience.

This apprenticeship will give you a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Standard with training in areas such as:

  • Functional skills, Maths L2 and English L2
  • PC Fundamentals & Customer Service Skills
  • Business Processes & Network Fundamentals

  • Coding & Logic
  • ERR

Senior Simulation Programmer - Traveller's Tales

We're seeking a talented and enthusiastic senior programmer to join our Simulation team, who research and develop the novel and cross platform Physics, A.I., Vehicle, I.K and Animation technologies that will power the next wave of TT adventures. This role offers a rare and exciting opportunity to work on a variety of system while also focusing on a particular discipline of interest.

We are ideally looking for a senior-level programmer, however we will consider applications from strong programmers and this will be a permanent position.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop the vehicle, script, physics, AI and character animation systems.
  • Maintain and develop the editor integration and Maya exporters for these systems.
  • Quickly fix any crash bugs for the above systems.
  • Provide technical support to other programming, art and animation teams.
  • Provide solutions to technical problems within your areas of expertise.
  • Minimise platform specific or special case code.
